法善寺横丁
Also known as Hozenji Temple, Hozenji Alley, Hozenji
A narrow stone-paved alley off Dotonbori that drops you a century back the moment you turn the corner. The alley is named after Hozenji Temple, where a statue of Fudo sits covered head-to-toe in moss from years of people splashing water on it for luck. Lanterns, tiny izakayas, and way fewer tourists than the main canal — the obvious pairing with a Dotonbori walk.
Splash water on the Fudo statue for luck. · Best visited right after Dotonbori to reset from the crowd.
