Nakazaki-cho

中崎町

🌿 CHILL

Also known as Nakazakicho

A genuinely retro neighborhood that survived the WWII bombings two stops north of Umeda — narrow alleys of old wooden houses converted into cafes, antique shops, vintage clothing, indie galleries, and the occasional piece of street art around a corner. The contrast with the Umeda skyscrapers a 10-minute walk south is what sells the visit. Photographer-friendly.

💡 Local tips
  • Two stops from Umeda on the Tanimachi line — trivially easy add-on.
  • Sundays the cafes are open; Mondays many close.
