Hakuryu-en Garden

白龍園

👀 SEE

Also known as Hakuryuen

A capped-entry garden up in Kurama, reached by the Eizan scenic line. Book ahead for 1,600 yen (walk-up is 2,000) and you get a near-empty garden at your own pace — they limit visitors, which is the whole point. Peaks in autumn. The walk to the nearest station passes through genuinely wild forest.

Type garden, autumn leaves, hidden spot
