Nanzen-ji

南禅寺

👀 SEE

Also known as Nanzenji

One of Kyoto's highest-ranked Zen temples, at the foot of the eastern mountains. The unexpected feature is the red-brick Meiji-era aqueduct running through the grounds — a piece of 19th-century infrastructure now a favorite photo prompt. Natural starting point for the Philosopher's Path walk.
