Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka

二年坂・三年坂

👀 SEE

Also known as Ninen-zaka, Sannen-zaka

Two stone-paved Edo-era streets that sweep from Kiyomizu-dera toward the Yasaka Pagoda — among the most photographed blocks in Japan. Machiya wooden townhouses, matcha shops, persimmon sellers, occasional maiko on the way to appointments. Don't rush; the wander is the point.
